ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) diseases: recovery is a reality!
Diseases of ear, nose, and throat have always been common in both children and adults. Unfortunately, over recent years there has not been any decrease in a prevalence rate of these diseases. All the ENT patients complaints can be divided into two groups: specific (“there is pain here”, “can’t hear”, “have difficulty breathing”…) and abstract (“it’s dripping somewhere”, “something disturbs”, “it’s to dry”, or “it’s too wet”).
According to the statistical data, among all the emergency patients that seek medical advice in Moscow 60% suffer from ENT diseases (otitis, diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, adenoiditis etc.). But it is just the top of the iceberg. In fact, there are much more of them. It is suggested that some patients with chronic tonsillitis, pharyngitis and other nasopharynx diseases do not go to see a doctor but try to treat themselves, often incorrectly, which leads to their health impairment. Other patients – with chronic diseases (otitis, sinusitis etc.) – also tern to self-treatment after repeated attempts of standard treatment, having their own experience but not achieving a success of full recovery.
Incorrect self-treatment of the ENT diseases often leads to serious complications and development of other organs diseases: cardiac, renal, endocrine etc.
For some reason, when our computer, cell phone, or car gets out of order, we immediately turn to the experts. But if the health problem appears, we believe that we are capable to manage everything by ourselves. So we strike to the drug store and by a medicine, which we’ve heard from our friends or on TV about. Then we start the treatment knowing neither our diagnosis, nor the cause of our disease, nor the effects that this medication administration can lead to. But our organism is much more complicated than any of technical devices and, above all, more valuable than all of them.
For example, we catch the cold or, to be more precise, rhinitis. There can be plenty of causes for such a condition. Not having the cause revealed but having our nose stuffy, we following the advice of advertisement buy these or those drops. If we are lucky, we get better in 5-7 days, if not – we try to change drops and as a result waste the precious time. The acute rhinitis turns into chronic, and the complication in the form of the sinusitis is quite likely. A similar situation can take place in case of acute catarrhal nonsuppurative otitis, when the lost time and incorrect ineffective treatment lead to the chronic otitis with the effusion.
The fundamental of medicine is: to reveal a cause of disease, to eliminate it, and to help a patient to cope with its clinical implications. The physician’s main task (if he/she has to deal with a diseased person) is to make a correct diagnosis and to prescribe an adequate therapy with consideration for present-day development of particular medical field. In the multi-field International medical center ON CLINIC the newest diagnostic and treatment options for different diseases of ear, nose, and throat in adults and children are available.
IMC ON CLINIC personnel pay particular attention to the acute and chronic suppurative diseases treatment and quick recovery after traumas and surgeries. An exclusive technique, developed by A.N. Nasedkin**, M.D., enables to achieve the best results in ENT suppurative diseases and traumas treatment. This technique is based on PDT-methods (photodynamic therapy) and includes one session of therapy and 3-5 day follow-up.
The IMC ON CLINIC physicians put into practice the client-centered approach to vasomotor rhinitis and chronic tonsillitis treatment, taking into consideration a clinicopathologic parallel among allergic diseases and chronic tonsillitis. Treatment of nasopharynx includes physiotherapeutic procedures with the use of a complex mixture of oils and herbs.
